If you liked last month’s Treasure Island Sailing Center Celebration, here’s another free TISC family event you’ll enjoy on May 21, 2011, in honor of Safe Boating Week (May 21 – 27, 2011). Treasure Island Sailing Center organizes this free day on the Bay with free boat rides, music, games, raffle prizes, safety demonstrations, and they’ll even throw in a free life jacket if you’re one of the first 100 people to arrive. There’s also an optional BBQ. But the key to the event is safety on the water.
“Join TISC for a day on the Bay and learn simple practices for water safety. Local organizations will be on hand to provide vessel safety checks, proper life jacket fit, and safe boating information. Watch a coast guard rescue demonstration and get more information on TISC sailing classes. Enjoy FREE sailboat rides, games, crafts, and fun for the whole family. A BBQ lunch will be provided for purchase by TISC.”
WHAT: Free Treasure Island Sailing Center free event, with optional barbecue lunch available for $3 per person, $10 for families of four. Scholarships available for those in need.
