It’s easy to eat out on the cheap with all the new dining establishments now listed on Restaurant.com, with new dining establishments added in Bay Area cities every month. So I thought I’d give you an extra heads up about this great opportunity to save. Dining out in Bay Area cities can take a bite out of your budget, but who wants to give it up? Not me. So these “gift certificates” are worth a look. New restaurants are added every week. If you’ve never used these before, scroll down this page to “HOW IT WORKS.”
WHAT’S THE DEAL: Restaurant.com Gift Certificates valid for $25 worth of food at your choice of restaurants. The sales page will always say $10 for $25, but with the current code you get an even bigger discount.
Use the current promo code shown in the box to the right —>>
HOW IT WORKS: You pay anywhere from only $2 to $10 and get $25 off your dinner bill at any restaurant on the list of hundreds. To choose a restaurant, search by name or sort by zip code, cuisine, price, or several other choices. Then pay online with a credit card or PayPal and print your certificate. They’re good for a year.
Lots of people don’t believe you can really get $25 worth of food for this cheap. Trust me, you can. My husband and I use them all the time with no hassles. Okay, my husband tells servers that we got the certificate as a “gift” so we won’t look cheap. But really, the restaurants have been very appreciative because this deal is good for them, too. First, it brings people in to check them out — they know you have unlimited dining choices. Second, most people spend more than they need to, so the restaurant still makes money.
NEED TO KNOW: Read the fine print. The difference between a real “gift certificate” and these vouchers is these vouchers have a few limitations and requirements, depending on the restaurant. Your dinner bill usually needs to be at least $10 over the $25 voucher amount. Some are not good on holidays or weekends. Some say they will automatically apply an 18% tip. Some say the discount only applies to food and not drinks. Other restrictions include using only one certificate per table and only once per month at any one restaurant.
