SF Circus Center Open House & Carnival – Free

SF Circus Center Open HouseHere’s something fun and funny and free for the whole family. To inspire passion for the circus arts, the San Francisco Circus Center will hold a Holiday Open House and Carnival on Saturday December 19, 2009, giving kids and families a chance to see what it’s like to go to circus school. The school and the entertainment is FREE, including performances, workshops, clowns, flying trapeze, face painting, holiday gifts, tiny tots area, circus movies, balloon animals and more. Keep an eye on your own little clowns — they just might run away and join the circus.

“San Francisco CIRCUS CENTER offers professional and pre-professional circus arts training year-round. Its master teachers have performed with the Nanjing Acrobatic Troupe, Moscow Circus, Cirque du Soleil, Big Apple Circus, Teatro ZinZanni, and Ringling Brothers and Barnum & Bailey Circus. America’s oldest circus school, CIRCUS CENTER attracts students from around the world. Its organizational roots date back to the Pickle Family Circus.”

TIP: If a day of clowning around for free isn’t enough, stick around for SF Circus Center’s Pratfalls & Rising Stars at 7:30pm to 9:30pm. Graduates and alumni of Circus Center’s professional circus training programs – the Clown Conservatory and the Professional Aerial Program. Tickets are $15 (Adults), $10 (Kids, Seniors, Students).
