Renegade Crafts Fair – Free

The Renegade Craft Fair at Fort Mason Center in San Francisco (July 31, 2010) is a big DIY bash featuring hundreds of unique handmade items from independent artists and craft makers. The event is free to visitors who can participate in workshops guided by Etsy craft people and watch demos from the Museum of Craft and Folk Art, and stop by the Scout Books Art Market and talk to book illustrators as they custom-design book art, among other activities.

If you’re not into crafts, just order a drink at the cash-bar and listen to live music by Thee Hobo Gobbelins (Sunday starting at 2pm), and DJ tunes from Amoeba Music.

WHAT’S THE DEAL: The Renegade Craft Fair is a free event.

WHEN: July 31 – August 1, 2010, 11am – 7pm.

WHERE: Fort Mason Center Festival Pavilion, Marina Boulevard, San Francisco, CA 94123. (Entrance for Fort Mason is located the intersection of Marina Blvd. and Buchanan St. in the Marina district.)
