Musician and human rights activist Michael Franti will host the 2010 Power To The Peaceful Festival in San Francisco’s Golden Gate Park, Speedway Meadow and The Fillmore (September 10, 11, and 12, 2010). The Saturday 9/11 events are FREE all day, with the nighttime afterparty an affordable $10. PTTP is one of the largest free annual music festivals in the U.S. drawing more than 50,000 people to enjoy three days of purportedly peaceful entertainment by international musicians and visual artists.
FREE EVENTS:
- Saturday, September 11: Speedway Meadow will feature main stage performances by Michael Franti & Spearhead, Rebelution, Rupa & The April Fishes, SambaDaì, plus headlining the DJ Tent is Washington DC’s Fort Knox Five, and more. Also 1,000 Yogis for Peace, a morning yoga practice. FREE 9am-5pm.
- Saturday Night, September 11: The day ends with the official PTTP Afterparty at The Fillmore in San Francisco ($10 tickets) where Michael Franti will present The Rocking Heads. $10, 8pm-2am.
