Just in case you don’t have enough SF Bay Area holiday events to chose from on Dec 5, add the City of Pleasanton to your list of possible parades. The Pleasanton Hometown Holiday Celebration and Parade features another Bay Area tree lighting (by the Mayor of Pleasanton), along with the expected holiday shopping, entertainment, face painting and photo op with Santa. My favorite part is the community sing-a-long to follow.

WHAT’S THE DEAL: FREE Pleasanton Hometown Holiday Celebration and Parade.

WHEN: December 5, 2009, 4pm to 8pm. Parade begins at 5:30pm, tree-lighting begins around 6:30pm.

WHERE: Main Street, Pleasanton, CA.
