Here’s another Father’s Day weekend deal. The 3rd Annual King of the County BBQ Challenge & Music Festival is cooking up good times at the Martinez Marina Waterfront Park. The event features an amateur BBQ competition, a vintage car show on Saturday, and the soccer-playing boarder collies on Sunday. The best reason to go to the King of the County BBQ Challenge is, well, the lip-smacking BBQ, prepared by the Back Forty BBQ, Kinder’s Meats & Bulldog BBQ.
They’ll also have a kids’ stage along with rides and activities for children. More than 100 arts and craft vendors, microbreweries and wineries will offer their wares. Of course you’ll enjoy plenty of live music performed by California bands, including Big Cat Tolefree, RevTones, Tempest, Nightshift, Dream Posse, Chocolate Rice, and others.
