FYI, the event venue really is spelled “Cocoanut.” According to their FAQs, it’s been spelled that way since the 95-year-old facility’s name was changed in the 1930s. This is an old-fashioned and correct way of spelling coconut, as in the Marx Brothers’ movie, “The Cocoanuts.”
