If you like big outdoor music bashes, check out the 11th annual Harldy Strictly Bluegrass in San Francisco’s Golden Gate Park (September 30, October 2, and 3, 2011). The free festival features bands on several stages throughout the park, with favorite musicians like Hugh Laurie, Jolie Holland, Bright Eyes, Jonathan Wilson, Simon Joyner, Woods, Kurt Vile & the Violators, and a bunch of others.
You’ll find the event crowed but congenial, with that fun music festival vibe, dancing in the park and noshing opportunities from local food vendors.
