The Tech Museum of Innovation in San Jose and the Big Island Visitors Bureau will present the FREE event “Hawaii’s Big Island: Earth, Sea and Sky” on Sunday, March 14, 2010 (a regular Tech Museum free day)  from 11am to 2pm. Hosted Activities include: Navigation Presentation; and Star Compass Activity; Mitaka Fly-Thru the Universe. Visitors will also be able to enjoy “From Earth to Universe”, an exhibit provided by NASA. Where else but in Silicon Valley would you find a museum devoted solely to tech innovation?

San José’s Tech Museum of Innovation presents over 240 hands-on science and technology exhibits and themed galleries, including a new exhibit called the Virtual Test Zone, the world’s first virtual-world-to-real-world gallery. The hands-on, interactive exhibit was conceptualized and developed in the virtual world of Second Life. Other exhibits include Untamed Images, showcasing the digital wildlife photography of Silicon Valley engineer-turned-photographer Michael Pollack; the IDEA House, now with more zany kitchen gizmos; and a try-it-yourself Segway Human Transporter section.

DEAL 1: Second Sundays of every month are FREE days, with unlimited gallery admission.

DEAL 3: AAA Discount – Members get $3 off regularly priced general admission. General admission is $8 for all ages.
