Shakespeare in the Park – Free

Shakespeare in the Park performances will take place from July through September, in three locations, starting in Pleasanton, continuing in Cupertino, and wrapping up in San Francisco in September. No tickets or reservations are required. No seating is provided, so arrive early for the best patch of grass and bring a blanket and picnic to enjoy with your family and friends. Snacks and beverages are sold on site.

Free Shakespeare in the Park is now one of the major free Shakespeare programs in the nation, known for its high quality, professional theater free of charge in the San Francisco Bay Area. (Unfortunately, no performances are scheduled in San Mateo this year.)

Now Playing: Two Gentleman of Verona “Best friends Valentine and Proteus are two gentlemen of Verona, and youthful love is in the air. Proteus falls for Valentine’s glamorous new girlfriend, Silvia and dumps the faithful Julia. To win back her man, she must (like all good Shakespearean heroines) dress up as a boy. With three outrageous outlaws, a misbehaving dog, and fun 60′s tunes in the mix, Shakespeare’s Two Gentlemen of Verona is a zany comic caper that’s sure to delight the whole family.”

DEAL: Shakespeare in the Park is FREE.
