If you live in San Francisco or the East Bay, you can get a “Safe and Sober” Free Cab Ride Home on certain holidays, courtesy of Berg Injury Lawyers. .
The Safe and Sober Cab Ride Home program now has a cap of $35. That should cover most rides, but you may have to make up the difference for long rides home.
Safe and Sober will be available for the following cities from these cab companies:
- San Francisco: Call Luxor Cab at (415) 282-4141.
- Alameda, Oakland & Berkeley: Call Veterans Cab at (800) 281-4488. Any fare exceeding $35 must be paid in cash.
- Sacramento: Call Yellow Cab Company of Sacramento at (916) 444-2222. NOTE: You’ll need to be picked up at a participating restaurant, hotel, or bar within Downtown Sacramento to qualify for a free ride.
