San Francisco’s official kick off to the holiday season starts at Embarcadero Center on Friday, November 20, 2009, with the popular Embarcadero Building Lighting Ceremony at the Holiday Ice Rink.

This year you can also enjoy a free sneak peak at “Disney On Ice Presents Worlds of Fantasy,” including performances by local musicians and a spectacular pyrotechnic show finale. Kids of all ages will enjoy watching Tinker Bell and her fairy friends, speed through Radiator Springs with Lightning McQueen, Mater and the crew, and relive classic Disney favorites The Lion King and The Little Mermaid.

Before the Ice Show and Building Lighting is the Winter Carnival, featuring fun activities for the kids such as carnival games, interactive arts and crafts booths, card making, balloon twisters, musical performances, and an opportunity to visit with Santa.

WHAT’S THE DEAL: The Winter Carnival & Free “Disney on Ice” Show is free (including the parking starting at 4pm — merchants will have validation stickers to distribute to customer.).

WHEN: Friday, November 20, 2009. Winter On Ice show 4pm-6pm; Lighting Ceremony 6pm-7pm; Disney on Ice show at 6 pm.
