San Francisco’s official kick off to the holiday season starts at the Embarcadero Center (November 18, 2011) with the popular Embarcadero Building Lighting Ceremony at the Holiday Ice Rink*. The event culminates in the lighting of One, Two, Three and Four Embarcadero Center followed by festive fireworks.
Families will enjoy the sneak peak at Disney On Ice presents Disney/Pixar’s Toy Story 3 performing at the ice rink.
The Winter Carnival features fun activities for the kids and an opportunity to visit with Santa.

- The Winter Carnival starts at 4pm with children’s activities, entertainment, visits with Santa and a very special appearance by Mickey Mouse.
- The Building Lighting begins at 6pm, with live performances from Disney on Ice presents Disney Pixar’s Toy Story 3.
WHERE: Embarcadero Center, Justin Herman Plaza, 275 Battery Street, San Francisco, CA 94111. (Disney on Ice performance is at The Holiday Ice Rink, adjacent to Four Embarcadero Center.)
SAVVY TIP: Take advantage of the FREE Holiday Parking Program November 18 through December 24, 2011. Get your parking validated at Embarcadero Center stores or restaurants from 5pm – 9pm Mon-Fri, and for four hours free on weekends. On Friday, November 18, 2011, validation starts at 4pm for the Winter Carnival and Building Lighting Ceremony.
* The Holiday Ice Rink at Embarcadero Center is open November 9, 2011 through January 8, 2012. On November 19 – 20, 2011, following the Embarcadero Center’s annual Building Lighting Ceremony, the ice rink will transform into an island paradise, complete with the sights, sounds and tastes of the Hawaiian Islands, courtesy of Hawai‘i Visitors and Convention Bureau and Hawaiian Airlines.
