When the weather gets warmer, people cool off by heading west to the San Mateo Coastside. Here ‘s how to get big discounts at several favorite restaurants along Half Moon Bay. For good and unbelievably cheap Mexican chow, stop into the Happy Taco (at the strip mall on Hwy 92 and Main Street) before heading to the beach. But for crazy good deals at Half Moon Bay eateries, Restaurant.com (a Bay Area On The Cheap partner) offers substantial savings, and they’ve just added a few more restaurants to their growing list.

NEED TO KNOW: Be sure to read the fine print. Your dinner bill usually needs to be at least $10 over the $25 voucher amount. Some are not good on holidays. Some say they will automatically apply an 18% tip on the full amount of your bill. Other restrictions include using only one certificate per table and only once per month at any one restaurant. Still, these vouchers are a really great deal that I use myself all the time.
