If you haven’t been to the de Young Museum lately, here’s how to check it out for less. First, the museum is free on every first Tuesday of the month. San Francisco’s de Young is known for its major collections of American art from the 17th through the 20th centuries, art from Central and South America, and from the Pacific and Africa. And the museum is also currently exhibiting the King Tut Exhiblt (see below).

On Friday nights, the entire de Young Museum is open until 8:45 pm. It’s a great opportunity to check out the museum with your friends while listening to live music and poetry, watching films, enjoying dance performances, tours, and lectures. The cafe is open with a special Friday Nights dinner menu, and a no-host cocktail bar serves drinks.

DEAL 1: Free daytime admission to the de Young Museum on the first Tuesdays of every month.
