San Francisco’s Asian Art Museum has a new exciting exhibit — Emerald Cities — the first major exhibition in the West to explore the rich but little known arts of Siam and Burma from the 19th-century when the two neighboring kingdoms were known for their golden-roofed temples, lush gardens, and handsomely adorned palaces. The exhibit features 140 stunning artworks on display for the first time.

The Asian Art Museum is one of the largest museums in the Western world devoted exclusively to Asian art. A walk through their Asian doorway transports you through 6,000 years of history, and across seven major regions of diverse Asian cultures.
