Aloha Fridays – Free Concerts
I’d love a Hawaiian vacation right now, wouldn’t you? But who has the time or budget in this crazy economy. Bay area folks do travel frequently to the islands, though, according to the Hawai’i Visitors and Convention Bureau’s stats, so they’re going to lure us back, um, reward us again this year with free Aloha Fridays in San Francisco, Palo Alto, and San Jose.
Called “Perfect Moments in the Islands of Hawai‘i,” the free concerts will take place at Gordon Biersch restaurants in March 2010. Hawaiian entertainment, tropical cocktail specials, and free giveaways, including a chance to win a Hawaiian vacation for two, are sponsored by the Island of Hawai‘i, Hawaiian Airlines, and Sheraton Waikiki. (Love the tag line: “Make Your Escape.”)
