Annual Fairfax Brewfest
Beer season kicks off on March 14 with the 14th Annual Fairfax Brewfest at the Fairfax Pavilion. More than a dozen brewers, food venders, and live Irish music from The Gas Men will make for a smashing (cheap) afternoon. Brewmasters pour the beers themselves, so patrons can critique, ask questions, and swap beer stories with the experts.
The popular “Taste ‘em and Rate ‘em” competition continues this year, with patrons tasting and voting for their favorite beers. (Medals will be awarded.) You could be the first to taste some newly created beers. They’ve also lined up some pub grub from Chad’s Gill & Garden Cafe and Pedemonte & Co., among others. The Brewfest theme is St Patrick’s Day, so be sure to wear a little green.
